FAQS
-
In this region, flea and tick-borne illnesses are prevalent. To protect your pets, we recommend that every cat and dog, regardless of their lifestyle, be on a flea and tick preventative. We offer a variety of treatment and preventative options and can help you select the best one for your pet.
-
Following recommendations from the AVMA and the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA), we advise annual wellness checkups for all pets, particularly as they enter their senior years.
-
You can easily book an appointment through our website by clicking here or, if you prefer, by calling the clinic directly at 479-430-7280, and we will be happy to assist you.
We understand that emergencies can occur and will do our best to accommodate them. Please note that walk-in visits are subject to availability and will incur an additional fee.
-
Following recommendations from the American Heartworm Society (AHS), Companion Animal Parasite Council (CAPC), and all preventative manufacturers, we require annual heartworm testing for dogs. Our region is at high risk for heartworms, so we advise keeping your dog on a preventative year-round.
Once your dog tests negative for heartworms, we recommend starting a preventative regimen. We offer several preventative options both in our clinic and through our online pharmacy.
-
We recommend that all non-breeding dogs and cats be spayed or neutered. We do not perform these procedures on dogs or cats under six months of age. After examining your pet and discussing with you, we will recommend the best age for this operation.
-
We discuss each pet's specific needs with their owners to tailor a vaccination protocol that best fits the animal’s living situation.
-
Dental health is a crucial part of your pet’s overall well-being. We offer appointments specifically for dental exams, but a comprehensive examination of the teeth, tongue, gums, and entire oral cavity is also included in our full physical examinations. If we identify any dental issues, we will recommend the most effective solutions to keep your pet healthy and comfortable.
